Note
Do not remove
completely the screw.
To preserve the machine, change the
oil after the new machine has been
operating over four weeks. After that,
the oil should be changed every six
months. To replace the oil, simply
remove the screw indicated on
Figure 9. After the oil is drained, reat-
tach the screw and fill the machine
with new oil.

Loosen screw indicated in Figure 11
with the Allen key wrench supplied in
the accessory box and insert the
needle (or remove the old needle).

This machine has an oil filter (Figure
10), which should be cleaned every
month or replaced by a new one
whenever is necessary.

Use only Singer's Cat. 3651-06 needles
Insert the needle with its scarf turned
to the rear of the machine and push it
up deep into the needle hole until it
stops. Then tighten screw.
