    1. About this manual The purpose of this manual is to ensure the correct and safe use of the UVD Robot Model B. Make sure to read carefully the content of this manual before using the robot. A quick guide is also provided in Annex 1 for trained users.

    UVD Robot Model B - User manual v2.1 Any other use in non-compliance with the intended use may cause serious injury or damage. Additionally, the use of this robot with any other equipment or components not supplied by the manufacturer voids its warranty as its full functionality could be compromised.

  • Page 8 The modification of the sensor will void the warranty. Only technical service and qualified personnel who have been trained by UVD Robots may install, disassemble or repair the product. Modification of this robot and its components including the charging station and software / apps provided with it, is not allowed as it could result in robot malfunction and will void the warranty and make the customer liable for any resulting accident.

    4. The UVD Robot 4.1. About the robot The UVD Robot Model B is an autonomous, flexible and module built disinfection robot. The robot uses high power UVC light sources that disinfects harmful bacteria, fungi and pathogens that cause infection and illness.

    UVD Robot Model B - User manual v2.1 7.4. Step-by-step instructions The UVD Robot cannot be used to disinfect thick layers of matter such as feces or blood as the UV light cannot penetrate those layers. The rooms should be cleaned prior to starting UV disinfection. The UV light from the UVD Robot is type C and may interact with Chloride.

Then step aside as the robot will drive to the entrance of the selected room. NOTE: Are more tablets required for additional doors, then the UVD app shall be opened on these now, AFTER giving the job.

  • Page 22 UVD Robot Model B - User manual v2.1 Figure 14. Disinfection in progress Note: Once initiated a disinfection can be stopped anytime by either pressing “ ​ C ancel​ ” or “ ​ P ause​ ” in the tablet. Pressing “ ​ P ause” will allow you to cancel or retry the disinfection if necessary.

    UVD Model B Robot can be manually operated by pressing the joystick icon on the UVD main screen (figure 7, number 7) a new screen will appear as is shown in Figure 16.

    UVD Robot Model B - User manual v2.1 7.6. Emergency stop (E-stop) The Emergency stop function is designed for immediate shutdown of the robot in case of an emergency situation and to prevent an immediate hazard. Pressing the Emergency stop (red button on the front of the robot) will stop the robot. To reset the robot after an emergency stop you need to release the E-stop first twist the button to the right and then press the start robot button (figure 12, number 3) next to the emergency stop.

    UVD Robot Model B - User manual v2.1 8. Advanced functions and features 8.1. Statistics / Reports The UVD app stores data about the latest disinfection that have been carried out. To access the statistics and disinfection reports, press the icon on the tablet (as per Figure 7).

No, when driving the robot manually you always have to consider the reference of the robot with the arrows as this shows the direction in which the robot will move when you use the joystick.

Making the robot work on another floor If you want to disinfect another floor it could be that the rooms you are looking for are not available in the UVD app. This can be solved following the next steps: Click on the MiR icon on the tablet to open the MiR app.

If it is the correct map still the robot needs to be placed correctly on the map so it can drive autonomously without errors. This is done by pressing the icon with the two finiish flags which is showed in the image below: Figure 21.

Robot and map are aligned You can close the MiR interface and open the UVD app. The correct rooms should be now available in the UVD app to operate the robot as usual.
