8. Initial operation

If you have laid the indoor and outdoor units next to each other for test purposes, note that loud reaction
coupling sound is possible via microphone and loudspeaker.
This is normal.
Just take several metres distance between the indoor and outdoor units in order to prevent such
reaction coupling sounds during the test (or stick some insulation tape over the microphone opening
for test purposes).

a) Standby mode

The indoor LED lights green, no picture is displayed on the screen, no sound is transmitted.
The nameplate (16) on the outdoor unit is light.

b) Surveillance mode

Press the "
" key (3) in the indoor unit. This activates the camera and the monitor and the LED (1) on the indoor
unit lights red.
In this operating mode you can monitor the camera's area of view, for instance.
Press the "
" key (3) again to return to standby mode

c) Standard mode

Indoor unit
• If a visitor has pressed the doorbell, the camera (and maybe the IR LEDs depending on the environment brightness)
is activated, the picture appears on the monitor of the indoor unit.
Please not that no colour picture is possible at night when activating the IR LEDs.
• Press the "
" key (2) to speak with the visitor. The LED in the key flashes.
• In order to trigger the door opener, press the "
monitor are automatically switched off, the intercom returns to standby mode.
• If you want to end the conversation with the visitor, just press the "
standby mode.
