    Thank you for purchasing the Altec Lansing M812 Wireless Speaker System for iPod. The M812 includes one or two wireless, high-performance speakers and a transmitter base that allows you to listen to most iPod models, FM radio stations and auxiliary audio sources.
  • Page 4 The transmitter base and speaker can communicate over three wireless radio frequency (RF) channels. The default setting is AUTO. You may also manually select one of the three channels. In AUTO, the transmitter base looks for and transmits on the most interference-free of the three channels. The speaker searches the channels until it finds the base.

    Wireless Speaker Side Panel Bottom Panel Display VOLUME +/– Raises and lowers the volume. INPUT Changes the playback source (iPod, FM and AUX). TUNE / TRACK +/– In FM mode, adjusts tuning.   • Page 6 Transmitter Base Front Panel Rear Panel STANDBY / ON Switches the power mode between Standby and On for the transmitter base. This light (left of the STANDBY key) illuminates when the transmitter base is on. SYNC 1 LED Illuminates to indicate that the transmitter base is synchronized with one wireless speaker unit.

    Multi-Speaker Systems With a single transmitter base, you can transmit audio to as many as eight wireless speakers. Speakers can be set to standard stereo mode or to serve as pairs of left and right speakers. By adding speakers to your system, you can create separate listening areas served by one or more speakers.
