Installing/Removing the Battery Pack To install the battery pack Turn off the computer and close the LCD screen lid. Slide the battery LOCK switch (1) inward.

For safety reasons this computer only functions with genuine Sony battery packs designed for this model. If an unauthorized battery pack is installed, the battery will not be charged and the computer will not function.

To charge the battery pack Install the battery pack. Connect the computer to a power source with the AC adapter. The charge indicator light is on while the battery pack is charging.

The battery pack continues to charge while you are using the computer.
