    Order no.: 443 150 1. Introduction Thank you for choosing a spega product. This product has been designed and optimized for use in room automation. To familiarize yourself with the handling and functionality of the system, we would ask you to read this manual carefully. It contains information about the operation, assembly and parameterization of the system.

  • Page 6: Safety Instructions

    Electrical devices must be assembled and installed by trained personnel only. Operation of the device is determined by the application software. Only software which has been approved by spega should be used for this device. The system integrator should ensure that the software and relevant parameterization correspond with the wiring and intended use of the device.

Product description The dialog Web Server is the basis for all room automation control functionalities by using standard web-browser or IP-capable telephones (optional) for up to 150 rooms. For installations with more than 150 rooms respectively more dialog Web Server are needed.

    Each additional web-license enables the operation of another Lonmark object and thus another room. The activation of the operation of the Lonmark objects happens per dialog Web Server in the following order. For example, if you have 50 web licenses, the first 50 Lonmark objects can be operated via web browser.

    Electrical devices must be assembled and installed by trained personnel only. The dialog Web Server can either be mounted on the supplied mounting plate for mounting on a top-hat rail (DIN EN 50022), or it can be glued with the supplied rubber feet and operated as a desktop device.

    Manual for dialog Web Order no.: 443 150 3. Configuration 3.1. IP configuration The IP configuration can only be changed via the web interface. The correct display and operability is only given for the web browsers Mozilla Firefox (version 3.6 or higher) and Safari (version 4 or higher).

Three different operating modes are available. 1. The device is only operated with an Ethernet interface (LAN A). Access to the web server (HTTP) and the EIA-852 part (LON over IP) is via an IP address.
  • Page 16 Here you can specify the EIA-852 configuration server and the ports to be used. The default ports 1628 and 1629 for the Lon-over-IP protocol are preset. Please note that the dialog Web Server must be made known to the configuration server.

    The Lonmark objects are configured using LNS plug-ins. They offer the possibility to transfer all settings to a selection of Lonmark objects of all dialog Web Servers that are located in an LNS project. This function can be found in the plug-ins in the File menu and is called Transfer parameter.

    Manual for dialog Web Order no.: 443 150 The several operating modules are assigned to the several elements of a Lonmark object on the configure room operating units (RBG) page. You can create several user interfaces (RBG variants) here. One for each LON configuration (room type). As a help, you can display the LON configuration of any Lonmark object (room) as a room reference in this dialog.

    The user Administrator has the password dialogweb by default. He is the only user who has access to the configuration of the dialog web server. The password should be changed to prevent unauthorized access. The user name cannot be changed.

Firmware update Before updating the firmware, you should first make a backup of the configuration and save the license as a file.
