- Page 2 USER GUIDE SET UP INSTALL OR REPLACE BATTERIES Avanti® recommends high quality alkaline batteries for the best product performance. Heavy duty or rechargeable batteries are not recommended. 1. Remove the battery compartment cover by pushing on the lever in the direction indicated by arrow.
- Page 3 USER GUIDE OPERATION TO SWITCH ON AND TO SET TIME After the battery installation, the scale will enter Time Set Up Mode automatically. To set the time: 1. With HOUR display ashing, press ZERO/MODE to set to current hour. 2. Press Unit Conversion Button (on the back of the scale under kick stand) to set hour and prompt minute setting.

- Page 5 USER GUIDE ZERO AND TARE FUNCTIONS To weigh di erent items consecutively without removing from the scale, use the Zero and Tare Functions. ZERO FUNCTION If total weight of the load being measured is 400g (below 4% of scale’s capacity) the Zero Function will automatically be in use and the Zero indicator will be displayed.
