    401 Dispenser Regulations and Approvals Make sure all equipment is rated and approved for the environment in which it is used. Nordson equipment warranties may be voided if instructions for installation, operation, and service are not followed. All phases of equipment installation must comply with all federal, state, and local codes.

    401 Dispenser High−Pressure Fluids High pressure fluids, unless they are safely contained, are extremely hazardous. Always relieve fluid pressure before adjusting or servicing high pressure equipment. A jet of high−pressure fluid can cut like a knife and cause serious bodily injury, amputation, or death. Fluids penetrating the skin can also cause toxic poisoning.

    Description The 401 Dispenser is a positive displacement, single−acting meter/mix/dispense system designed to produce a variable flow, one−component material. Each meter is custom sized to provide the capacity requirements of individual applications.

    401 Dispenser 7. Installation of the actuator is in the reverse order of removal. Note the following: CAUTION: Apply Loctite 242 or 248, or equivalent thread locker, to socket head cap screws securing actuator to upper flange. Allow Loctite 242 or 248, or equivalent thread locker, to fully cure prior to utilizing system.

    401 Dispenser CAUTION: Apply Loctite 242 or 248, or equivalent thread locker, to socket head cap screws securing inlet valve to metering cylinder. Allow Loctite 242 or 248, or equivalent thread locker, to fully cure prior to utilizing system. Tighten socket head cap screws securing inlet valve to the metering cylinder to 2.4 NSm (20.8 in.−lb).

CAUTION: Utilize wrench flats to unscrew guide rods. 5. Remove flow tube from metering cylinder. 6. Remove dispense valve from metering cylinder. Refer to Repair, Dispense Valve Replacement, for dispense valve replacement procedure.
