Talking Pedometer
Instructions
With the display facing you and the clip opening lever at the bottom, you will be able to feel 5
buttons at the sides of the clip - 2 on the right and 3 on the left. The buttons are:-
Top right ([M]) memory
Bottom right (II) pause
Top left (R) reset
Centre left (S) set
Bottom left (M) mode
Also on the lower right side of the case is the (T) talk button.
The Display on the front is split into 2 screens. The top screen displays the time, with the bottom
screen displaying the current mode.
This talking pedometer provides several functions:-
1. Steps, Distance, Calories, and total active time.
2. Talking Clock.
3. Can be set Imperial or Metric.
Please note that sighted assistance will be required for initial setup.

SETTING THE DISPLAY MODE

There are 4 different modes that can be selected to be displayed on the bottom screen. Total steps
taken, distance travelled, total calories burned and the total time the user has been active.
Press the M (mode button) to change between the 4 options, each time you press M (mode button)
the bottom display will change.

CHANGING SETTINGS

Make sure unit is in step mode.
Press and hold S until the clock starts flashing. Repeatedly press R to change between 12 and 24
hour display mode.
Press S, then use R to change the clock hours.
Press S, then use R to change the clock minutes.
Press S, then use R to select LB or KG. This sets all displays to imperial or metric.
Press S, then use R to set the users weight.
Press S again to set step length - see below.
Wait 5 seconds for the setting menu to close.

Follow these steps to obtain the step length and enter it into the pedometer. Measure the user’s step length toe-to-toe or heel-to-heel. For more accurate results, measure the distance of 10 steps and divide the distance by 10 to get the users average step length.
