WatchDog 3000 Series Wireless Rain Station - Quick Start Guide

1. Mount Rain Station to pole with U-bolts provided. Use ½ inch wrench to tighten nuts. Face solar

panel South in the Northern Hemisphere or North in the Southern Hemisphere.

2. Attach paddle antenna to the top of the bracket by twisting it into SMA connector. Tighten

finger tight so that the antenna does not unscrew.

3. Loosen the screws holding the Rain Bucket cover, rotate it slightly counter-clockwise, and lift the

cover off. Remove the rubber band from tipper spoons. Reinstall the Rain Bucket cover.

4. Open bird guard packaging and follow instructions provided to assemble bird guard. Attach bird

guard to the top of the rain bucket.

5. If using an external sensor, unlock the enclosure latches and open the front door of the

enclosure. Plug external sensor into "EXT" port and install sensor.

6. Turn power switch inside enclosure "ON".

7. Configure the device with one of the two options: Bluetooth with phone or SpecConnect with

computer.

Bluetooth:

1. Turn Bluetooth on by pressing and holding the red "Select" button located inside the CAT M

enclosure for 5 seconds until the Status Light turns red.

2. Open the Watchdog Mobile app and login with SpecConnect credentials.

3. Tap the menu button on top left corner and select "BLUETOOTH".

Page 3 SpecConnect: 1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://www.specconnect.net/. Login with credentials. 2. Click on the “Equipment” tab on the left side of the screen. 3. Navigate to the Rain Station device on the equipment page and click the “Configure” button. 4.
