Locking rods for Rivco luggage and Quick detach rack

This locking rod set is made for use only with Rivco quick detach racks
GL18008, QD1000, PSS008 and Rivco Rack bag RB100
1. Starting on the right side of the rack with your Rivco luggage bag on top of
the rack place one of the rods thru one of the holes in the rack then thru
one of the slots in the bottom of the bag and out thru the corresponding
hole on the left side of the rack. Do the same with the remaining rod.
2. Referring to photo (1) (shown without the bag in place for clarity) hold the
rods in place with one hand on the right side of the rack. Hold the locking
plate (1A) up as shown with the large end of the keyhole slot towards the
rear of the rack. Install the locking plate as shown in (2A) with the large end
of the keyhole slots over the ends of the rods, next push inward to depress
the locking clip ( then slide the locking plate all the way forward to the end
of the slots until the locking clip snaps down into place.
3. The remaining unused hole at the center of the locking plate (2B) is
provided to use with a padlock if desired. To use this feature install the
plate as shown then drill a ¼" hole thru the rack at the location of the hole
in the locking plate. Remove the plate and enlarge the hole in the rack to
9/32" or 5/16". This will make it easier to route your locks shank thru the
holes.
