Deep Hive Kit with 1 Box
Slide in your Varroa Screen. Be sure to
slide it in under the built in pegs to hold it
in place.
Top Cover: Slide the solid board
into the notched out space, this
completes your assembly of your
kit.
Assemble your box first.
Take the two short box ends, and slide the
top and bottom rails into place as shown in
the photo at left.
Once you have the rails in place, you can
begin assembling your hive box. Take your 2
longer box sides, lay one face down, place
glue* on the pegs of the short sides, slide
the short end pegs into the long side holes.
Place glue* on the remaining 2 pegs and
place them into the holes of the remaining
board. Your box is now assembled.
*Suggested Glue:
Tite-Bond I or III or Wood Glue
** Paint all surfaces
that will be
exposed to UV light.
Suggested paint:
floor or cement paint
Slide the bottom board into place as shown
below. It will sit under the V0roa Screen.
