This document will serve as a guide to walk through the setup of your Portal Go device.

Portal Go brings the best of Portal smart video calling to a new form factor, combined with a
10-inch screen, 12MP camera with an ultrawide field of view for more immersive video calls, and
the most requested hardware feature – portability. Portal Go is designed to let conversations
move from room to room, with its integrated handle, grab-and-go charging dock, and
long-lasting battery to maximize portability. It is built to move: now, you can start a conversation
in one room and finish the conversation in another. And when you are not on a call, Portal Go
can also be a portable speaker with room-filling sound for listening to your favorite music
throughout your home, and its elegant design blends naturally into your home.

Getting Started
Setting Up Your Portal Go: To set up your device, plug it in, turn it on, and follow the
on-screen set-up instructions to connect to Wi-Fi and your Facebook or WhatsApp account. It's
that easy! Be sure to place and keep your device on the charging dock first (you will need a
sufficient charge to complete the setup process).
You'll need to use your phone or computer to verify your Facebook or WhatsApp account using
the steps on the screen. If you don't already have a Facebook account, sign up at
Facebook.com or download the WhatsApp mobile app on your iOS or Android device to create
a WhatsApp account.
Messenger and WhatsApp: Using Portal requires a Facebook or WhatsApp account (Note:
You can also sign in with a Workplace account if your company has a subscription).

    (US/Canada/UK) and Spanish (US) with more languages coming. Note, the device language on your Portal for Spanish (US) is called Espanol (America Latina). Facebook Assistant is not available if you select any other language when you set up your device. Portal does include support for on-screen French, Spanish, and Italian language.
  • Page 4 You can create a Room on Portal to video call with up to 50 people at a time. To create a Room or join a Room you’ve been invited to, click on the Contacts App on your device, select “Rooms,” and you will see a full list of your Rooms and have the option to create a Room. You can also manually type in a URL to a Room you were invited to.

    Portal app. To add photos to your Digital Photo Frame tap “Add Photos” from the Photo Frame screen and then select the Facebook photo albums you’d like to display. You can also do this by going to Settings and tapping “Digital Photo Frame.” To add photos from your camera roll, download the Portal app and select the photos you’d like to add.
