Ignition Switch - Honda Pioneer 1000 2017 Owner's Manual

The ignition switch is a three-position, key-operated switch used to
start and stop the engine.
(w) — The engine and all electrical circuits are off. The key can
be inserted and removed only when it is in this position.
(q) — The electrical circuits are on. You can use the accessory
power socket in this position.
(p) — This position is used only to start the engine. The key
will automatically return to the ON (q) position when you let go of it.
