  • Page 4 Firebird 2 uses your computer’s dual- joystick game port to provide analog joystick control of your flight simulators and games. For added flexibility, Firebird 2 also works with your keyboard to let you assign all your games’ keyboard controls to any of the joystick's buttons.

  • Page 86 If this is the case, your computer cannot send power to the joystick, and as a result, your keyboard – because it is connected through Firebird 2 – will not work. To solve this problem, plug in your game port connector, and check all your connections.

Firebird 2 requires an AT-compatible or PS/2-type keyboard port. It is not compatible with most computers that have only a built-in keyboard.

If you are running a Terminate-and-Stay-Resident (TSR) program that remaps the keyboard, Firebird 2 may not perform the functions you assigned to it.
