    GENERAL INFORMATION The moisture meter you just acquired is worldwide renowned and a benchmark for moisture readings for grain and by-products in United States, Canada and Latin America. Unique system and manufactured to avoid and not allow results manipulation. The commodity charts of the equipment were certified by the NTEP (National Type Evaluation Program), a program recognized by the USDA as a standards regulator for commercial transactions.

    MAIN COMPONENTS DUMP CELL It is where the operator pours the sample in. A mechanism made of two wings, it holds/releases the sample into the grain cell. GRAIN CELL After receiving the sample from the dump cell, the grain cell is responsible for measuring the sample moisture and temperature.

    QUICK GUIDE 1. Make sure the equipment is on a flat, firm and vibration free surface. 2. Press the power button on the equipment for 3 seconds. 3. Select the user. 4. Place the dump cell inside a proper container like a tray, and overfill it with the sample you want to measure the moisture.

    DAILY USE With only two steps, the second time your turn the equipment on, will be faster and shorter: 1. Select the user 2.     STARTING This is the home screen. If needed, you can add the sample number or name and license plate by pressing the icon • Type the sample number and press NEXT. Type the license plate and press SAVE. • • You will notice the icon will disappear, indicating that the information was saved.

    RESULT SCREEN The moisture results shows on the screen. To repeat the process, remove the sample from the grain cell. Automatically, the equipment returns to the HOME SCREEN. If a flash drive is connected, the result will be saved in his memory, automatically.

    CHOOSING ANOTHER GRAIN CHART The TOP 5 screen shows the last five selected charts. • Click on the grain chart that you want. If the one you are looking for is not listed, click on the magnifier icon named OTHERS. Pressing OTHERS.

    SPECIAL FUNCTIONS FOREIGN MATERIAL Calculate the percentage of foreign material, based on sample size. Enable Disable See page 25 for more information. DAMAGED KERNEL Calculate the percentage of damaged kernel contained in the measured sample.     FOREIGN MATERIAL AND DAMAGED KERNEL FOREIGN MATERIAL When the FOREIGN MATERIAL function is enabled, the equipment will ask if the user wishes to perform this function every time at the beginning of the measurement cycle. • IMPORTANT: In the process of measuring the foreign material, keep away the dump cell.
  • Page 26 DAMAGED KERNEL The function DAMAGED KERNEL makes it possible to separate partial samples with the most common faulty in grain comodites: Burned out, Sprouted, Immature, Withered, Moldy, Damaged, Broken, Greenish and two more fields for custom defects. When the function is enabled, the equipment will ask if the user wants to perform the procedure every time after the moisture test.

    PAPER PRINTER REPLACING PAPER Please follow the steps to refill your printer with paper: 1. Open the printer door by pulling the hatch, as indicated in the image. The whole door set will open. 2. Remove the empty paper roller and insert the new thermal paper roller.

    MAINTENANCE The equipment is factory calibrated with a Manufacturer Standard Tester, which goes under periodic verification to assure that it meets the requirements and standards defined by USDA ( U.S. Department of Agriculture) and CGC (Canadian Grain Commission).
