    Each LED Light Tube has a test pattern that is displayed when the DMX Controller is not connected or powered on. Here is a list of the test patterns for each LED Light Tube: VersaLamp 485 – All white LEDs on. VersaLamp 484W- All white LEDs on. VesaLamp 484UV – All ultra-violet LEDs on.
  • Page 8 Before using the product for the first time Read “Safety information” before installing, operating or servicing the fixture. Read at a minimum the “First Lane Installation” instructions before installing. Unpack and ensure that there is no transportation damage before using the fixture. Never attempt to operate a damaged fixture.

    Physical installation Warning! Read “Safety information” before installing the system. • The fixture is designed for indoor use only and must be used in a dry location with adequate ventilation. • Do not stand LED Light Tubes on a surface or leave it where it can be moved or fall over.

  • Page 10: Step #1 First Lane Installation

    Press playback button #4 for VersaLamp 485 & 365 systems and play back button # 3 for VersaLamp 484 & 364 systems on the DMX controller. This will play a fast color change on the LED light tube.

    Disconnect the controller from the light tube and remove all cables used to test the first light tube. If your installation is more than ten lanes for VersaLamp 485 & 365 systems a DMX Opto Isolator is to be installed. If your installation is more than twelve lanes for VersaLamp 484 &...
  • Page 12 12. Connect the DMX cables from the first light tube to the second light tube using the 15’ DMX cable and connect to the male XLR connector of the next Light Tube. Be sure all cables are secure and away from all moving parts of the pinsetter/pinspotter. 13.

  • Page 28: Dmx Addresser

    DMX Addresser The DMX Addresser is used to input the DMX address into the VersaLamp LED Light Tubes. The LED Light Tubes are shipped with the addresses already loaded into the Light Tube. The address for each tube is located on the end cap (for example ADDR 051). Address the LED Light Tubes if it needs to be set to fit an existing program or to duplicate another fixture or LED Lamp.
  • Page 29 9. Then enter the three digit DMX for the VersaLamp LED Light Tube. Please refer to the DMX Address Table. Three digits must be input for example: 051. 10. When the last digit is input the curser will be flashing at the first digit. 11.
  • Page 30 Plug in the RJ45 connector into the DMX Addresser. Plug the addresser into a suitable electrical outlet (120v 60Hz). Connect the female 3-Pin XLR connector to the addresser to the male 3-Pin XLR connector of the light tube. Turn on the DMX Addresser. Looking at the display of the Addresser: It should display the welcome screen.

    Troubleshooting This section describes a few common problems that may occur during operation and provides some suggestions for easy troubleshooting: Symptom Potential Cause Remedies Power supply issue.
