Storing Frozen Food

storage compartment.
To ensure that the h gh qual ty
ach eved
by
manufacturer and the food reta ler s
ma nta ned, the follow ng should be
remembered:
1. Put packets n the freezer as
qu ckly as poss ble after purchase.
2. Ensure that contents are labelled
and dated.
3. Do not exceed "Use By", "Best
Before" dates on the packag ng. If
there s a power fa lure do not open
the door. Frozen food should not be
affected f the fa lure lasts for less
than 21 hrs. If the fa lure s longer,
then the food should be checked and
e ther eaten mmed ately or cooked
and then re-frozen.

Freezing Fresh Food

Please
observe
nstruct ons to obta n the best results.
Do not freeze too large a quant ty at
any one t me. The qual ty of the food
s best preserved when t s frozen
r ght through to the core as qu ckly as
poss ble.
Do not exceed the freez ng capac ty
of your appl ance n 24 h wh ch s 5 kg

When freez ng fresh food turn the
control toward MAX. Small quant t es
of food up to 1/2 kg. (1 lb) can be
frozen w thout hav ng to rotate the
temperature control.
Install in room 5C to +32C .
You may place fresh food to be frozen
n any part of the freezer.
Take spec al care not to m x already
frozen food and fresh food.

Making Ice Cubes

F ll the ce - cube tray 3/4 full w th
water and place t n the Ice Bank.
Loosen frozen trays w th the handle
of a spoon, never use sharp edged
objects such as kn ves, forks. Store
ce-cubes n the Ice Bank.
Note: If freshly made ce cubes are
not consumed for several weeks
and stored n Ice Bank, they w ll
slowly reduce n s ze and eventually
d sappear completely.

Defrosting

A) Fridge Compartment
The fr dge compartment defrosts
automat cally. The defrost ng water
runs to the dra n tube v a a collect on
conta ner at the back of the appl ance
(1). (see d agram) Dur ng defrost ng
water droplets may form at the back
of the fr dge compartment where
concealed evaporator
Some droplets may rema n on the
l ner and refreeze when defrost ng s
completed. Do not allow tems n the
fr dge to touch the back wall as the
water droplets w ll make them wet.
Do not use po nted or sharp edged
objects such as kn ves, forks to remove
the droplets wh ch have frozen.
