MAINTENANCE CHECK FOR DAMAGED/WORN PARTS BEFORE EACH USE Check the trimmer head, safety guard and auxiliary handle and replace any parts that are cracked, warped, bent, or damaged in any way. The line cutter on the edge of the guard can dull over time. It is recommended that you periodically sharpen it with a file or replace it with a new blade.
