    anchorage fitting installation For Cars fitted with a Child Restraint Upper Anchorage Point Locate the upper anchorage point behind the rear seating position (consult the car owner’s handbook for the location of the upper anchorage point). Remove the thread plug from the parcel shelf/floor/roof and install the attachment bolt as shown in Figure 1.

    configuring seat for child fitment fastening the buckle PRESS PRESS To release, press the red button to unfasten the buckle. To fasten, insert one buckle tongue as shown in image. You will not hear a “click”. Insert the second buckle tongue as shown.
  • Page 38 configuring seat for child fitment Adjusting the Harness Fitment: To loosen, push-down on the PULL PULL PULL harness release lever at the front of the seat and pull the shoulder straps. To tighten, pull on the adjuster strap at the front of the seat. For tightening tips, see page 40.

Release the buckle assembly by pressing the red button and pull the buckle tongues over the side of the seat, looping them through the elastic holders (image A). Pull each side wing of the insert through the harness straps as shown (image B).

Once slack is removed, pull on adjuster strap so that the harness fitment over the shoulders is firm.

    forward-facing installation Adjust the restraint into upright or SELECT POSITION 1, 2 OR 3 recline, by positioning the seat into either position 1, 2 or 3 as shown in image A. Loosen top-tether strap, enough to position the clip away from the back cover.

    cleaning the buckle Follow the manufacturer’s instructions at all times. Your child car seat is equipped with a buckle designed to give your child maximum protection during proper use. When working properly, your buckle should always fasten with an audible ‘CLICK’ when both tounges are engaged. If sticky liquids (such as baby food, fruit juice, etc.) get into the buckle it may become sluggish and you will not hear a ‘CLICK’.

Removing the Harness Pads Each harness pad has two press studs on the external edge. Locate the press studs and release them to unwrap each pad from the harness straps.
  • Page 55 Removing the Backrest Fabrics Adjust the headrest into the highest position (see detailed section on page 38). Release the ten exterior press studs connecting the trim to the physical backrest as shown in images G, H and I (repeat for both sides).

Please see the below for some tips to help achieve the best result.     troubleshooting Twisted Harness If you notice your car seat’s harness has a twist in it like shown in image A, follow the steps below to identify the type of twist and how to fix it. Identifying the Type of Twist: There are two types of harness twist, a single twist on the upper shoulder strap and a double twist, split around the buckle tongue.
  • Page 58 troubleshooting Double Twist: For the double twist to occur, the buckle tongue must have been slid over a twist in the belt. To undo this, the process must be reversed. Using the strap section below the buckle tongue, twist the strap so it appears flat before entering the buckle tongue slot.
