Instructions
■
There are two ways to use the automatic ID purge control -
a constant pressure method and a constant flow method.
During the constant pressure method the M200 power
supply will maintain the desired ID gas pressure
throughout the weld cycle.
During the constant flow method the M200 will maintain
the ID gas flow set prior to the weld throughout the weld
cycle. This method can be used when the pressure sensor
cannot be placed close to the weld joint or other system
restrictions result in different pressures at the weld joint
and the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor is not in the
system during the weld cycle.
Setup - Both Methods
Assembling the Tee - Fig. 1
1. Connect a keyed quick-connect to the provided tee
end with PFA tubing according to Swagelok Tube
Fitting Instructions for 1 in. (25 mm) and smaller
fittings, MS-12-01.
2. Connect the standard quick-connect to the run end of
the provided tee with the nut according to Swagelok
Tube Fitting Instructions for 1 in. (25 mm) and smaller
fittings, MS-12-01.
3. Connect the system gas supply line from the upstream
regulator to the remaining tee run connection
according to Swagelok Tube Fitting Instructions for 1
in. (25 mm) and smaller fittings, MS-12-01.

4. Line up the keyed quick-connect and the standard
quick-connect of the assembled tee with the upper ID
purge supply and OD shield gas connections on the
right side of the M200 power supply. Push to connect
both quick-connects into place.
Note: Line up both connections before pushing either
into place to avoid damage to the tubing.
5. Connect the other keyed quick-connect to the
provided PFA tubing by inserting the tubing into the
nut and tightening according to Swagelok Tube Fitting
Instructions for 1 in. (25 mm) and smaller fittings,
MS-12-01.
6. Install the keyed quick-connect into the lower ID
purge supply connection on the M200 power supply.
Connect the other end of the tubing to the input of the
existing work piece purge connections.
