Water moving past the propeller creates a low pressure zone at the propeller hub. This draws air through the draft tube air inlet hole down to the propeller.

In situations where vortexing does occur, an optional vortex shield (FIGURE 7) is available.

The most common ways of mooring floats are mooring to posts on shore or mooring to anchors.

Mooring cable is attached to eye bolts or eye nuts (not included) located on the float system (FIGURE 13B).

A chart in Appendix B shows recommended mooring cable sizes. Wire rope clips (also known as cable clamps) and thimbles are sized for different diameters of mooring cable.

    A watertight cable grip (FIGURE 14) should be used to affix the electrical cable to the motor junction box. This clamp is available from AEROMIX as an option, or can be supplied by your electrician. Support the electrical cable in a way which provides slack to allow the aerator to be adjusted in its mounting cradle.

A start-up data sheet must be completed and mailed to AEROMIX Systems in order to validate warranty coverage.
