Intended Use Intended Use The Olympic Bili-Lite Model 80/81 is a floorstand phototherapy light intended to provide therapeutic irradiance to treat neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. Model 81: The Olympic Bili-Timer is intended to measure total phototherapy treatment time. Description The Olympic Bili-Lite Model 80/81 is a floorstand halogen phototherapy light. The lighthood is adjustable from 46.5 to 63.0 in.
Accessories Accessories Olympic Medical offers the following items that are compatible for use with the Bili-Lite Model 80/81: Olympic Bili-Meter , which measures the irradiance output of phototherapy. Olympic Bili-Mask , which protects the patient’s eyes during phototherapy treatment. To order these items, see page 7-1.
Irradiance Irradiance The therapeutic irradiance of phototherapy lights is measured with radiometers, instruments with optical filters that pass only selected portions of the blue-green action spectrum of bilirubin. Irradiance (radiant power) is expressed in units of microwatts per square centimeter per nanometer (µW/cm²/nm). The Olympic Bili-Meter —...
