"My wife purchased a Horizon Binding Machine (BQ-P6) several years ago before we got married. We still have the manual but it's not helping. She didn't use it much. After we got married, I tried using it. While it starts up fine, the glue rollers don't turn, and some buttons on the control panel are unresponsive. It must have sat for close to 15 years, unused. It still has glue in its chambers around the rollers. When I turned it on the glue does melt, but the rollers do not turn (I assume they are supposed to?) When I hit the large blue button, it clicks but nothing happens. When I hit the yellow button there is a click and the 'operations' light blinks orange. She bought it new but never did get in the book binding business. As I can see, if I can get the rollers turning so as to glue the book spine, we would be rolling... I **** 82 years old, so we are not getting into the business - and we are not planning on buying another. It's just a hobby we will take up since this machine is sitting here, unused... Can you assist me?"

The manual does not directly state reasons for glue rollers not turning on the Horizon BQ-P6 after years of inactivity. However, possible related causes may include:

1. Dried or hardened glue in the glue roller mechanism.
2. Mechanical parts stuck due to lack of use or lubrication.
3. Electrical issues such as a malfunctioning motor, clutch, or switch.
4. Faulty Control P.C.B. not detecting or activating the components.

Further inspection of the glue roller motor, switches, and Control P.C.B. is recommended.
