  • Page 8 FILLING CLEANING WELLS MIXING CLEANING SOLUTION NOTE: Cleaning solution is not included. There are a variety of options when it comes to cleaning saw blades. Avoid any corrosive or caustic chemicals, such as oven cleaner, as they may damage blades and cause skin, eye, Common, all-purpose cleaners and respiratory irritation.

    FILLING CLEANING WELLS FILLING CLEANING WELLS 1.1 ROUTER BIT CLEANING WELL (YELLOW) Remove the small green lid. Fill the Router Bit Cleaning Well (yellow) up to the fill line (16-20 oz or 473-591 mL) with your mixed solution. After filling, lock the small green lid back into position.
  • Page 10 FILLING CLEANING WELLS 1.2 SAW BLADE CLEANING WELL (GREEN) Unclasp and remove the large yellow lid from the Saw Blade Cleaning Well (green), and place it on a flat surface to prevent spilling the cleaning solution inside the Router Bit Cleaning Well. Pour the remainder of the cleaning solution into the Saw Blade Cleaning Well (green).

    CLEANING SAW BLADES CLEANING SAW BLADES 2.1 SAW BLADES UP TO 12” (350MM) NOTE: Most blades can be cleaned in 30 seconds or less. Blades that haven’t been cleaned regularly may take more time to clean on first use. On an even surface, lay a towel flat next to the cleaning well. The towel should be at least twice as big as the saw blade, so you can fold it over the saw blade and dry both sides at once.
  • Page 13 CLEANING SAW BLADES 2.1 CLEANING SAW BLADES (CONT.) For table saws, raise the blade to its maximum height. Remove the arbor flange and nut from the saw. Using the Magnetic Handle from the large yellow lid, attach it to the blade as close to center as possible.
  • Page 14 CLEANING SAW BLADES 2.1 CLEANING SAW BLADES (CONT.) 2.1.1 Soak the Saw Blade Place the saw blade on top of the cleaning pad in the blade cleaning well. Ensure the saw blade is fully submerged and soak for 10-30 seconds. 2.1.2 One Twist Cleaning After soaking, apply slight downwards pressure and rotate the blade a quarter turn backwards (opposite to the cutting direction).
  • Page 15 CLEANING SAW BLADES 2.1 CLEANING SAW BLADES (CONT.) After one side of the blade is clean, set it flat on the towel (clean side down) and remove the magnetic handle. Fold the towel over the blade, then flip it over, so now the dirty side of the saw blade is facing down.

    CLEANING ROUTER BITS CLEANING ROUTER BITS Attached to the underside of the small green lid, you’ll find the EVA Foam Router Bit Holder with 3 inserts for 1/2” or 12mm shank router bits, and 2 inserts for 1/4”, 6 or 8mm shank router bits. Unscrew the small green lid and insert router bits into the EVA foam cavities.

While the router bits are soaking, attach the 1-11/16” (42mm) Router Bit Cleaning Disc and Mandrel to a rotary tool (a power drill will also work). Maximum speed is 12,000 rpm. 8,000 to 10,000 rpm provides the best balance between cleaning and disc life.
  • Page 20 CLEANING ROUTER BITS 3.1 CLEANING ROUTER BITS (CONT.) Again, remove the small green lid. The router bits can remain in the foam bit holder during cleaning. You may hold the small green lid with the router bit(s) and rest it vertically over the router bit well while cleaning.

    BLADECLEAN comes with 6 Router Bit Cleaning Discs. When replacements are needed, they are also available in packs of 14 with a mandrel at: microjig.com/bladeclean Rubber Gasket The BLADECLEAN’s large yellow and small green lids are equipped with a rubber gasket to prevent leakage, and it can be stored with the cleaning solution inside for multiple uses.
