- Page 2 POWX1350 MULTI-FUNCTION SHARPENER POWX1350 1 APPLICATION Sharpens high speed steel drill bits, straight edged knives and scissors. Regrinds chisel and plane blades. It is not designed for commercial use. WARNING! Read this manual and general safety instructions carefully before using the appliance, for your own safety. Your power tool should only be passed on together with these instructions.
- Page 3 POWX1350 5 GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow all warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains operated (corded) power tool or battery operated (cordless) power tool.
- Page 4 POWX1350 If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust related hazards. Power tool use and care Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
- Page 5 POWX1350 Move the drill bit forward up so it lays in the ‘V’ guide and touches the metal end stop (1c) Turn the drill bit until the ‘V’ guide fully drops over it (1c) All 4 drill bit corners should now be touching the ‘V’ guide sides.
- Page 6 POWX1350 SHARPENING BLADES (3a-3g) Slide module ‘chisel and plane sharpener’ onto the power unit Place the blade against the back lip of the plate (3a). The magnet helps hold in place. The sharpening angle must match the existing beveled angle on the blade tip.
