Note: It will take two (2) people to assemble this box blind.
Hughes Products Company, Inc. assumes no liability for injury or damage to persons
or property resulting from the use of the Hughes Box Blind. The Hughes Box Blind
must be assembled, installed, anchored, and used with care, caution, and common
sense. Anchoring the Hughes Box Blind is the owner's responsibility.
You must read all instructions before starting assembly!
(When referring to wall letters(A,B,C,&D), all walls are identical except when
referring to Wall D, which is the panel with your door cut out.)
Cordless drill
Phillips head drill bit
(1) Roof
(1) Package with screws, nuts, & bolts (extras
included in case of losing them)
(3) Walls with windows cut out
(1) Wall with window and door cut out
**Platform for flooring is not included. We recommend using a 4 x 4 ft, 1/2" thick, piece of
plywood as flooring.
****DOOR FRAME (optional): (2) Vertical 2 x 4's # 5 & #6 (See Fig. VI) (Picture available
on company website).

  • Page 2 INSTRUCTIONS: 1) With wall panels A & B vertical, one person stands on the inside with nuts & the other on the outside with the screws (8-32 x 3/4) (See Fig.1). Overlap the offset corner of Panel A with Panel B.
  • Page 3 The plywood must be placed on top of the lip of the wall. Insert 8-32 x 3/4" screws into the bottom predrilled hole on each panel corner. If you would have any problems with this product, please contact HUGHES PRODUCTS COMPANY, INC. at 336-769-3788. Please do not contact the merchant where you purchased the blind.
  • Page 6 HUGHES BOX BLIND WINDOW KIT INSTRUCTIONS Tools required for assembly: Screw driver and adjustable wrench Parts List: 4- Windows 8- Window tracks 4- Window handles 8- 1 1/2"" Velcro adhesive pads (4 male and 4 female) 32- #8 x 1/2" machine screw with nuts INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Peel plastic film off one side of the window. 2) Peel off adhesive tape off the window handle and place on the bottom of the window in the center. Make sure the bottom lip of the handle is against the bottom edge of the window and press firmly. (See Figure A.) 3) Peel plastic film from the back side of the window.
  • Page 7 4) Measure from top left edge of window 12" (See Figure B). Peel adhesive cover off the back of the 1" Velcro's adhesive pad. Place the pad to the right of the 12" mark and press firmly. The pad will be on the opposite side of the handle. Installing window tracks: Take one track and align the pre-drilled holes on the track with the pre-drilled holes on the blind around the opening for the window. Insert the screw into the hole and attach the nut. Do not tighten. Repeat this step on the other 7 window tracks. Next take a window and slide it into the tracks. It should rest on the 2x4 piece of wood that runs below the window. Once you have the window in the tracks, you can tighten all the screws. If it doesn't slide smoothly, you may have to re-drill the holes for a better fit using a 3/16" drill bit. Installing Velcro Window Pads Take the window and slide it up into the open position. Locate where the velcros pad that you put on the top of the window hits on the blind wall and that is where you will put the velcros pad on the blind wall. Press the pad firmly against the wall of the blind. This will hold your window in the open position.
