    Notes Introduction Tire Linc® is a tire pressure and temperature monitoring system (TPMS). The TPMS display issues an alert when a unit's pressure or temperature falls out of the programmable range. The system is operated by a handheld display, and a power cord and stand are included with the kit (Fig.1).

    Preparation NOTE: The repeater for the TPMS system is already installed on prepped units. If installed, continue to the Place Repeater Into Pair Mode and/or Sensor Pairing, Configuration sections.     Message To Power Off Displays Whenever a user accesses one of three modes in the Settings menu — Add Another Vehicle, Learn All Sensors or Learn A Sensor — a screen will appear on the display for five seconds (Fig. 3) before automatically transitioning to the notifications received before sensor learning takes place.

Determine if a spare tire will be added (Fig. 10). Pressing YES will add the spare tire icon to the vehicle selected.

    Sensor Pairing Sequence The pairing sequence for tires begins with the left front tire first, continuing from front to rear and then beginning again at the right front and continuing to the rear tires. The spare tire is last. With dual wheels on a vehicle, the outside tire on either side is paired first before the inside tire. The illustration (Fig.

    Configure All Thresholds Before accessing the SETTINGS menu, check to make sure the vehicle selected to have thresholds configured is present on the main tire pressure screen. Select the Configure All Thresholds arrow on the SETTINGS screen (Fig. 16A). Set the Minimum Pressure, Maximum Pressure, Maximum Temperature and Maximum Temp Change for the sensors (Fig.

    Learn A Sensor NOTE: A screen will be displayed for five seconds when accessing this mode. The screen will note: "Power off all other displays connected to the repeater before learning sensors." Before accessing the SETTINGS menu, check to make sure the vehicle on which a sensor is to be learned is present on the main tire pressure screen.

    Detach Vehicles Scroll down the SETTINGS screen and press the arrow to the right of Detach Vehicles (Fig. 22A). Select which vehicle to detach (Fig. 23). Confirm which vehicle to detach and press CONTINUE (Fig. 24). Select another vehicle to detach or press FINISH to return to the main tire pressure screen (Fig. 25). NOTE: The red X on a vehicle indicates the vehicle is detached.

    Reattach Vehicles Scroll down the SETTINGS screen and press arrow to right of Re-Attach Vehicles (Fig. 26A). Select which vehicle to reattach (Fig. 27). NOTE: The red X on a vehicle indicates the vehicle is detached. Confirm which vehicle to reattach and press CONTINUE (Fig. 28). Select another vehicle to reattach or press FINISH to return to the main tire pressure screen (Fig.

    Delete A Vehicle Press the Delete A Vehicle entry in the SETTINGS screen (Fig. 30A). Select a vehicle to delete (Fig. 31) and press NEXT. Confirm which vehicle to delete (Fig. 32) and press DELETE. Select another vehicle to delete or press FINISH return to the main tire pressure screen (Fig. 33). NOTE: The display will not delete a vehicle if it is the only vehicle in the configuration.

    Add Another Vehicle NOTE: A screen will be displayed for five seconds when accessing this mode. The screen will note: "Power off all other displays connected to the repeater before learning sensors." Select Add Another Vehicle on the SETTINGS screen (Fig. 34A). Select a class of vehicle (Fig.

    Replace Sensor Tap a tire location (Fig. 38) to launch its properties window with sensor details (Fig. 39). Tap arrow to the right of Replace Sensor (Fig. 39A). Press CONTINUE for all notifications. The vehicle will appear on the screen with a red blinking dot next to the sensor chosen to relearn. Follow the instructions for internal sensor relearning in Fig.

    Operation When Sensors are under pressure, data is transmitted to the repeater when tires are: • moving/rotating, every one minute; • not moving/not rotating, every 15 minutes. Tap a tire location (Fig. 43) to launch its properties window (Figs. 44 and 45). Within the selected tire’s properties window, various tire and sensor specifications can be observed and altered.

    Troubleshooting Relearn Sensors After Tire Rotation If a tire rotation is performed on the vehicle, the user can relearn the sensors by utilizing the Learn All Sensors mode. Internal Sensors When the battery voltage begins to approach 1.9V on a tire sensor, it is time to schedule a service appointment to replace the sensor for that tire.
