For the detailed information from testing, please contact your local Kojair Tech Oy representative. See www.kojair.com NOTE! Cleanwizard Platinum cabinet is not EN 12469 Class II safety cabinet.
Airflow measurements Airflow rates are measured either with calibrated anemometer, usually measured in several points or with calibrated measuring device, which can be used for measuring the airflows in ventilation duct. (see measurement report the devices used in testing) 1.1.1 Downflow (hotwire anemometer) Switch on the cabinet.

Picture 1. Measurement points in Biowizard Platinum cabinets Accteptance criterions: To achieve product protection, mean downflow velocity must be between 0,25 m/s – 0,50 m/s, and no individual measurement should differ from the mean value more than ± 20 % Alarm: if the air velocity should exceed the present alarm, an acoustic and visual alarm will be activated, which can not be muted.
1.1.3 Airflow visualization (smoke test) Purpose of this test is to verify that no recirculated air escapes out of the working space to surrounding room, and that the replacement air moves through the front grid to the bottom basin of the cabinet without visible turbulences (see picture 3).

1.2.6 CW-V cabinets Down filters: Down flow filter scanning procedure is identical to exhaust filter scanning procedure of SF and MF cabinets. See chapter exhaust filter leakage scanning of SF and MF cabinets. 1.2.7 Acceptance criterions: If a discrete particle counter is used, the local penetration of a HEPA filter with 0.005 % integral, penetration should not be more than 0.05 %.
EN-Standard 12469. The test should only be performed by well trained personnel. Kojair Tech Oy service organization or our higly qualified dealers are offering wide range of testin, maintenance and validation services. To find out more, please contact your local Kojair Tech Oy representative.
Ask for more detailed information from your nearest Kojair dealer or visit manufactures’s wed site: www.kojair.com NOTE! Only person who is trained / authorized by Kojair Tech OY is allowed to maintain the cabinet. NOTE! To ensure the validity of guarantee and EC-declaration of conformity, use only original spare parts (listed on the spare parts list) Standard EN 12469:2000, Annex K (informative) K.1 General:...
Check laboratory conditions before maintanance work : 1. Always check what kind of substances have been handled in the cabinet before maintanance work. Decontamination might be necessary before maintenance work, depending on which subtances have been used in the cabinet. A responsible technican or health and safety officer must always be present when changing filters, if for example cytotoxics or other health hazardous substances have been handled in the cabinet.
Decontamination NOTE! In this chapter is described only the basic princible for decontamination procedure. For detailed information about the decontamination procedure, please seek advice from your safety advisor. Check that the exhaustduct is safely & secure mounted, leading to a safe place. Fumes, which will be released to environment, can be very dangerous Decontamination procedure should be carried out as per following: Switch off the fan.
Replacing lights Lights are behind the front panel. LED – lights are divided for two and three lights moduls (see pictures 17 and 18) Unscrew light module cover plate’s fastening screws and pull out the cover plate carefully. Remove the broken light fastening screws (see picture 19) Replace broken light(s). Connect the lights cable according the wiring diagram.
The filter replace is carried out throught the open front panel. The main filter and exhaust filter must be replaced at the same time because the ratio of the air has to remain constant for the cabinet operate correctly. Use only filters listed in component catalogue or other types accepted by Kojair Tech oy.

2.4.4 DEF Cabinet Remove tightening screw plugs above the cabinets. Loosen the tightening screws so that middle pressure chamber rises about 1 centimeter and take the lower exhaust filter away and put it immediately into a plastic bag and dispose of with hazardous waste. When installing the new filter, check that the arrow mark points upwards.
2.4.5 XL cabinets Loosen the tightening screws so that upper pressure chamber rises about 1,5 centimeter and take the exhaust filter away and put it immediately into a plastic bag and dispose of with hazardous waste. When installing the new filter, check that the arrow mark points upwards. Tighten them up against the exhaust cone.

2.4.6 CW-V cabinets CW-V cabinet does not have exhaust filter. Down flow filter change procedure is identical to SF cabinet. Please see section filter change SF cabinets. CW-V cabinet has separate pre filter for inflow air above the cabinet. Lift up pre filter cover grill and change pre filter mat.
(inflow and down flow velocities), recalibrate the cabinet. Changing main board NOTE! Only person who is trained / authorized by Kojair Tech OY is allowed to change the main board and restore the system. The mainboard of the cabinet contains all data stored, such as calibration settings, component setup and users.
Device has to be recycled to correct recycle point for the reprocessing. This benefits the environment for all. (EU only) Kojair Tech is also offering recycling services. To find out more, please contact your local representative.
Update Biocontro i NOTE! Before updating display wait for the cabinet to start up and log into the cabinet. NOTE! If the cabinet has, software version older than v.1.3.0 installed, please contact Kojair Tech service before updating display.
