INSTRUCTIONS

QUARTZ MOVEMENTS

To Set the Date with Push Crowns: Pull out the crown one stop. Turn the crown clockwise until the day/date
displayed is the day before the actual date you want to set. (For example, if today's date is the 2nd, advance
the date wheel to read the 1st). Then pull the crown out to the second stop and rotate the crown advancing
time forward, adjusting the hands until you reach midnight. Continue to rotate the crown to your current time. If
it is in the afternoon, you will need to rotate the hour hand past 12:00 noon, the midday position. After setting
the date, be certain to push the crown in fully to ensure water resistance!
To Set the Time with Push Crowns: Pull the crown out fully (2 stops); turn in either direction to set. Push in to
restart the watch. After setting the time, be certain to push in the crown fully to ensure water resistance!
To set the Date or Time with Screw Crowns: Setting the time and date with a screw down crown watch is the
same as above; however to pull out the crown you must first "unscrew" the crown by turning it in a counter
clockwise direction until the crown releases from the threaded tube. After adjusting the date and/or time, push
the crown in and screw down in a clockwise direction until the crown is sealed in a tight position.
To use the Timing Bezel: Rotate the bezel counter clockwise until the 0 on the bezel lines up with the minute
hand. Track elapsed time by checking the minute hand against bezel numbers, not the dial numbers.
Note: for night timing, set the 0 on the bezel at the desired number of elapsed minutes from the minute hand
position. Although the numbers will not be counting down, the 0 mark is the point to which you are moving.
Timing bezels are meant to turn counter clockwise only. Never force the bezel to rotate clockwise. Note: Not all
Luminox watch models will have a timing bezel.
