LOCAL CODES WITH THE NATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE ANSI Z223.1 – LATEST EDITION.
THE MINIMUM CLEARANCE FROM COMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION IS 12" TOP BY 6" SIDE
LAMP
INSTALLATION
1.
Feed
copper
tubing
through
yoke
and
connect
1/4"
flare
connector
valve
at
bo;om
of
burner.
(Loosen
front
setscrew
beneath
the
bo;om
fi;er
to
slide
burner
out
for
connecCon)
Replace
burner
and
Cghten
setscrew.
2.
Lower
lamp
onto
post.
3.
Tighten
set
screws
in
bo;om
of
yoke
to
secure
lamp
to
post.
4.
Install
mantles
(see
mantle
installaCon
instrucCons)
5.
Check
all
gas
connecCons
for
leak,
using
soap
soluCon.
If
air
bubbles
appear,
shut
off
main
gas
line
and
Cghten
all
fiNngs.
NEVER
USE
AN
OPEN
FLAME
TO
CHECK
FOR
GAS
LEAKS!
MANTLE
INSTALLATION
1.
Install
mantle
over
ceramic
nozzle,
gently
pull
down
mantle
for
proper
shaping.
With
gas
turned
off,
hold
a
lighted
match
up
to,
but
not
touching,
mantle
to
bum
off
protecCve
coaCng.
2.
Using
a
screwdriver,
turn
the
gas
valve
to
on
posiCon
and
hold
a
lighted
match
up
to,
but
not
touching,
the
mantle
to
light.
3.
A^er
the
lamp
has
been
burning
for
several
minutes,
use
the
screwdriver
to
adjust
the
flame
with
the
on‐off
valve
to
its
brightest,
but
containing
the
flame
within
the
mantle.
4.
Place
globe
down
through
top
of
lamp
(careful
not
to
touch
burning
mantles)
5.
Mantles
need
to
burn
a
minimum
of
24hrs
to
burn
at
their
brightest.
ROOF
INSTALLATION
1.
Place
roof
on
top
of
lamp
inner
ring
aligning
the
holes
in
the
roof
with
the
bracket
holes
that
are
a;ached
to
the
inner
ring
of
the
lamp.
2.
Place
washer
over
holes
and
Cghten
screw
on
(I)
side
of
lamp
3/4
way,
then
do
the
same
on
the
opposite
side
of
lamp.
Tighten
screws
alternately
unCl
roof
is
secure.
3.
A;ach
venClator
assembly
to
top
of
roof
and
Cghten
with
knurled
screws
to
hold
venClator
in
place.
MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
No
combusCble
material,
gasoline
or
other
flammable
vapors
or
liquids
should
be
stored
near
lamp.
Nothing
should
obstruct
the
flow
of
combusCon
and
venClaCon
air.
Occasionally
the
glass
will
need
to
be
cleaned
with
household
glass
cleaner
and
the
mantles
should
be
visually
checked
for
condiCon
and
bum,
replace
mantles
if
necessary.
