Store NiMH battery packs when charged and recharge
after 6 months at the latest.
The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and
40°C.
Li-Ion battery packs (with 14.4 V and 18 V)
have a capacity and signal display:
• Press button and the charge level is displayed by the
LEDs.
• The battery pack is almost flat and must be recharged
if one LED is flashing.
• If all LEDs are flashing, the electronic system has
switched off the battery pack (self-protection mode).
The battery pack is either flat (the electronic system
protects the battery pack against exhaustive
discharge), or has become overloaded or too warm
during operation (temperature monitoring). To
continue using the battery pack: Press the button or
insert the battery pack into the charger, which is ready
for use. (Rapid cooling is possible in the "AIR
COOLED" battery charger.)
Li-ion battery packs Li-Power 28 (25.2 V) have a
capacity and signal display:
• Press button and the charge level is displayed by the
LEDs.
• The battery pack is almost flat and must be recharged
if one LED is flashing.
Li-Ion battery packs (12 V)
• If the battery pack is either flat, or has become
overloaded or too warm during operation, then the
electronic system switches the battery pack off (self-
protection mode). To continue using the battery pack:
Insert the battery pack into the charger, which is ready
for use. (Rapid cooling is possible in the "AIR
COOLED" battery charger.)

4. Environmental Protection

• Worn-out battery packs contain large amounts of
valuable raw materials and plastics, which can also be
recycled.
• Battery packs may not be disposed of with regular
waste.
• Return faulty or used battery packs to your Metabo
dealer!
• Discharge the battery pack in the power tool before
disposal. Prevent the contacts from short-circuiting
(e.g. by protecting them with adhesive tape).
• Do not allow battery packs to come into contact with
water!
