- Page 6 SAFE OPERATING PRACTICES • This appliance is hot when operating and can cause severe burns if contacted. • Installation and repair should be done by a qualified service person. The appliance should be inspected before use and at least annually by a qualified service person. More frequent cleaning may be required, as necessary. It is imperative the control compartment, burners and circulating air passageways of the appliance be kept clean.

Replacement pressure regulators and hose assemblies must be those specified in this manual. • The LP gas supply cylinder used with LP models must be constructed and marked in accordance with the specifications for LP-gas cylinders as required by the U.S.

WELL HEAD GAS INSTALLATIONS Some natural gas utilities use "well head" gas. This may affect the Btu output of the unit. Contact the gas company for the heating value. Contact the manufacturer or your gas company before changing spud/orifice size. DRAINAGE AND VENTILATION Flare Fireplaces recommends leaving the included Storm Doors on the fireplace when it is not in use, to prevent any accumulation of moisture inside the unit. Although the fireplace is designed to operate outdoors safely, rain and other sources of moisture may enter the fireplace cavity, which may cause water to collect inside the chase and base of the unit within the fireplace enclosure. -
