The MultiGas Sampling Cart system is a stand-alone system designed to provide properly conditioned sample to an MKS MultiGas Analyzer. The flow path is as follows: 1. Sample inlet gas to be analyzed flows through a heated inlet line into the “heated box” at the top of the system.

MKS MultiGas High-Speed Gas Sampling Cart Installation Procedure Required Equipment/Tools None required. Step 1: Unpack the Crate 1. Visually inspect the crate on arrival to ensure no damage occurred during shipping. Check the shock and tilt indicators. If an indicator has been triggered, contact the shipping company immediately.

MKS MultiGas High-Speed Gas Sampling Cart 5. Unlock the wheels and carefully roll the cart from the crate. Retain the crate for future use. Caution The sampling cart is top-heavy. Guiding the cart from the crate will require 2 people to ensure the cart will not tip over.
MKS MultiGas High-Speed Gas Sampling Cart Step 2: Check The Filter Assembly. 1. To remove the Filter Assembly, push in the handle of the filter holder and rotate counter clockwise (CCW) to disengage the locking mechanism. 2. Remove the filter assembly from the housing. Visually inspect the filter. If the filter is discolored or missing, replace the filter element.

MKS MultiGas High-Speed Gas Sampling Cart Step 4: Install the MultiGas Unit 1. Follow the instructions for uncrating and instrument checkout found in the MultiGas manual. a. Slide the MultiGas into the rails provided in the Sampling cart. b. Position the sample inlet /outlet of the MultiGas with the plumbing of the cart, take care to align the connectors and snug each hand-tight.

MKS MultiGas High-Speed Gas Sampling Cart Operation System Operation Summary After the initial installation, the sampling/analysis process is as follows: 1. Connect sample line and sample line’s heater leads and thermocouple to cart. 2. Power up cart and stabilize temperature at 191°C ±5°C. (Approximately 5 hours is required for initial startup stabilization.)

MKS MultiGas High-Speed Gas Sampling Cart Preparation Always replace the valve plates and diaphragm together to maintain the pump performance WARNING: CHEMICAL HAZARD! The pump components may contain chemical residues. Always wear appropriate personal protective clothing including gloves, clothing, and respiratory protection as designated by your on-site safety manager.
2. Check that the intermediate plate (6) and head plate (3) are clean. Clean the parts if necessary. Make sure that the sealing edges of the head plate (3) and intermediate plate (6) are undamaged. 3. Contact pump manufacturer or MKS in case of roughness, scratches and corrosion. Order and replace damaged parts. 4. Insert valve plates: Upper and lower side of the valve plates are identical.
