Bitte lesen Sie die vorliegende Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch. Bei
Fragen wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Fachhandel von dem Sie dieses
Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
Zweckbestimmung
Bei diesem Medizinprodukt handelt es sich um einen Therapieschuh /
Verbandschuh (Kurzzeit / Langzeit) und dient überwiegend der Behandlung von
akuten Schädigungen am Fuß und stellt zum Teil die Mobilität wieder her.
Indikationen
Postoperative oder sonstige Wunden, auch versorgt mit ausgedehnten, evtl.
gepolsterten Verbänden, deren Heilungsvorgang über einen längeren Zeitraum
verläuft und Teilbelastung des Fußes beim Gehen, auch außer Haus, zulässt.
Keine zusätzliche Bettung erforderlich.
Kontraindikationen
Bei bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch, keine Kontraindikationen bekannt.
Anwendungsrisiken/Wichtige Hinweise
Dieses Medizinprodukt ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt. Sprechen Sie
Anwendung und Dauer mit Ihrem verordnenden Arzt ab. Die Auswahl der
geeigneten Größe und eine Einweisung erfolgt durch das Fachpersonal, von
dem Sie das Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
– Medizinprodukt vor radiologischen Untersuchungen ablegen
– Während Sie den BORT Verbandschuh tragen, dürfen Sie kein Fahrzeug
steuern.
– Wurde das Tragen bei Nacht angeordnet, Beeinträchtigungen des
Blutkreislaufs vermeiden.
– bei Taubheitsgefühl Medizinprodukt lockern oder ggf. abnehmen
– bei anhaltenden Beschwerden den Arzt oder Fachhandel aufsuchen
– Medizinprodukt indikationsgerecht einsetzen
– gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Produkte nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem
Arzt
– keine Änderungen am Produkt vornehmen
– nicht auf offenen Wunden tragen
– nicht verwenden bei Unverträglichkeiten gegen eines der verwendeten
Materialien
– kein Wiedereinsatz – dieses Hilfsmittel ist zur Versorgung eines Patienten
bestimmt
– während der Tragedauer der Orthese: keine lokale Anwendung von Cremes
oder Salben im Bereich des angelegten Hilfsmittels – kann Material
zerstören.
Anziehanleitung
Wichtig: Zum An- und Ausziehen der Verbandschuhe benutzen Sie bitte den
Reißverschluss an der Ferse. Die Klettverschlüsse des Verbandschuhs dienen
nur zur Regulierung der Weite und Passform.
Schützen Sie die offene Verletzung am Fuß durch einen Verband oder
ähnlichem. Tragen Sie an Ihrem gesunden Fuß immer einen rutschfesten Schuh
mit gleicher Absatzhöhe. Tragen Sie den Schuh nicht direkt auf der Haut.
Öffnen Sie die seitlichen Klettverschlüsse und klappen Sie die Lasche nach
vorne. Im zweiten Schritt öffnen Sie die Lasche im Bereich des Mittelfußes.
Abschließend den Reißverschluss an der Ferse. Prüfen Sie den Schuh auf
Fremdkörper und entfernen Sie diese, bevor Sie in den Schuh einsteigen.
Stellen Sie den Fuß in den Verbandschuh. Im nächsten Schritt schließen Sie

Intended purpose

This medical device is a therapeutic shoe/orthopaedic shoe (short-term/long-
term) and is mostly used for the treatment of acute damages to the foot and
restores mobility in-part.

Indications

Post-operative and other wounds, even when treated with extensive and
possibly padded bandaging, where the healing process takes place over an
extended period of time and weight can be placed partially on the foot whilst
walking, even outdoors. An additional insole is not required.

Contraindications

No contraindications are known if used correctly.

Application risks/Important notes

This medical device is a prescribable product. Discuss the use and duration
with your treating physician. The expert staff from whom you have received
the medical device will select the appropriate size and instruct you regarding
its use.
– remove the medical device prior to radiological examinations
– you may not drive a vehicle whilst wearing the BORT orthopaedic shoe
– if wearing at night is prescribed, avoid negative influence on the circulatory
system
– in case of numbness, loosen the medical device and remove it if necessary
– in case of persistent complaints, consult the physician or specialist retailer
– use the medical device in accordance with therapeutic needs
– only use other products simultaneously after consultation with your
physician
– do not make any changes to the product
– do not wear it on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance of one of the materials used
– no re-use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient
– whilst wearing the brace, please neither use any creams nor ointments on
or around it as they can destroy the material

Fitting instructions

Important: For putting the orthopaedic shoes on and removing them, please
use the zip on the heel. The Velcro fasteners on the orthopaedic shoe are only
used to adjust the width and fit.
Protect the open injury on the foot with a bandage or similar. Always wear a
non-slip shoe with the same heel height on the healthy foot. Do not wear the
shoe directly on the skin.
Open the Velcro fasteners at the side and fold the flap forwards. As a second
step, open the flap in the metatarsal. Then, the zip on the heel. Check the
shoe for foreign bodies and remove them before putting it on. Place your foot

Utilisation prévue
Ce dispositif médical est une chaussure thérapeutique/orthopédique (court
terme/long terme) qui sert principalement à traiter des dommages aigus au
pied. Elle rétablit aussi en partie la mobilité.
Indications
Post-opératoire ou autres plaies même soignées par bandages extensibles et
éventuellement rembourrées dont le processus de guérison s'étend sur une
longue période et permet une sollicitation partielle du pied même en dehors
du domicile. Aucune semelle supplémentaire n'est nécessaire.
Contre-indications
Pas de contre-indications connues si la chaussure est utilisée correctement.

vorne. Im zweiten Schritt öffnen Sie die Lasche im Bereich des Mittelfußes.
Zum Schluss den Reißverschluss an der Ferse. Steigen Sie mit dem Fuß aus
dem Verbandschuh aus.
Tipp: Schließen Sie den Klettverschluss, um einen frühzeitigen Verschleiß der
Klettfläche zu vermeiden.

Den Schuh mit lauwarmem Wasser von Hand mit mildem Feinwaschmittel
waschen.

an Ihren Fachhandel, sollten Sie einen Gewährleistungsfall vermuten.
Bitte das Produkt vor Einreichung eines Gewährleistungsfalles reinigen.
Wurden beiliegende Hinweise der Gebrauchsanweisung nicht ausreichend
beachtet, so kann die Gewährleistung beeinträchtigt werden bzw. entfallen.
Ausgeschlossen ist eine Gewährleistung bei nicht indikationsgerechter
Anwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Anwendungsrisiken, -hinweise sowie

Die Lebensdauer des Medizinprodukts wird durch den natürlichen Verschleiß
bei sach- und anwendungsgemäßem Umgang bestimmt.
Meldepflicht
Kommt es bei der Anwendung des Medizinproduktes zu einer
schwerwiegenden Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustandes, dann
melden Sie dies Ihrem Fachhändler oder uns als Hersteller sowie dem BfArM
(Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte).

the overlapping area over the metatarsal. Finally, position the central front flap
centrally and fix it on both sides using Velcro fasteners.

Removal

Open the Velcro fasteners at the side and fold the flap forwards. As a second
step, open the flap in the metatarsal. Finally, the zip on the heel. Remove your
foot from the orthopaedic shoe.
Tip: Close the Velcro fastener in order to avoid early wear to the Velcro
surface.

Cleaning information

Hand-washing Do not clean chemically
Do not dry in a tumble dryer
Hand wash the shoe using lukewarm water and mild detergents.

Useful life/Lifetime of the product

The lifetime of the medical device is determined by its natural wear and tear if
treated appropriately and as recommended.
