The WatchGuard® XCS appliance is an easy-to-use, all-inclusive email and web appliance that provides
security and privacy of inbound and outbound traffic. It is the first product that provides correlated content
security and threat prevention with consolidated administration and reporting across multiple protocols.
The WatchGuard XCS provides content security that enables data loss prevention, encryption and content
filtering with integrated threat prevention for viruses, spam, spyware, phishing, and malware attacks, all in a
secured appliance.
Secure Operating System
The WatchGuard XCS delivers the most complete security available for messaging systems. The appliance runs
on a customized secure operating system that does not allow uncontrolled access to the system. There is no
command line access and the WatchGuard XCS runs as a closed system, preventing accidental or deliberate
misconfiguration by administrators, which is a common cause of security vulnerabilities.
