 Press the two locking buttons simultaneously to remove the current attachment.
 If required, place the round brush attachment onto the small curling tong or the
ringlet attachment onto the large curling tong.
 If required, slide the hotplates for crimping/straightening hair into the crimp-
er/straightening iron with the functional sides facing inwards. Slide the hot-
plates into the crimper/straightening iron attachment until they audibly click
into place. Make sure that you insert the hotplate plug into the socket of the ap-
pliance.
 Fit the required attachment to the appliance with the lever on the switch side.
Make sure that the two pins fit into the holes on the appliance. Press the attach-
ment onto the appliance until the attachment clicks into place.
 Connect the mains cable to a properly installed AC 100–240 V~, 50/60 Hz safety
socket.
 Move the ON/OFF switch to the I position.
The indicator light shows that the appliance is heating up and goes out when the
temperature has been reached.
NOTICE
 To avoid hair damage, do not leave the heating plates in one position
for any longer than a few seconds (depending on the attachment,
max. 15 seconds dependent on hair type). Start at a low temperature
level and exposure time to find out the appropriate application for
your hair.
 Frequent use of this appliance can damage your hair because of the
applied heat. Reduce the time and frequency of use to a minimum to
protect your hair.
 Do not pull on your hair directly after styling otherwise it will lose its
shape. Rather, allow the curls/waves to cool down to fix them.
Styling tight curls or distinctive waves
 Fit the small or oval curling tong to the appliance as described above.
 Divide the hair into sections. Press the tong lever. Take a section of hair (approx.
2 cm wide) and clamp it between the tong and the lever. Release the lever to
clamp the lock of hair.
 Hold the curling tong firmly by the cold plastic cap and the handle and wrap the
entire lock of hair around the curling tong.
 Leave the lock of hair in the curling tong for a few seconds and then unwind the
hair in the opposite direction until you can press the lever to remove the lock of
hair from the appliance.
