Fan
Description
Fans (includes left and right fans)
Before removing the fans, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Remove the bottom cover (see

Remove the fans:
1.
Disconnect the left fan cables (1) from the system board.
2.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (2) that secure the left fan to the computer.
3.
Lift the front edge of the left fan until it rests at an angle (approximately 45 degrees), and then remove
the left fan (3).
NOTE:

Disconnect the right fan cables (1) from the system board.
5.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (2) that secure the right fan to the computer.
