    This chapter discusses how to use your Android mobile devices to print using the WPS Pro EU network. Be sure to follow the installation steps at "Setting Up the WPS Pro EU System" on page 18 before continuing. There are two transfer methods you can use to print from your Android Device to the WPS Pro EU network - web services or FTP.

    6. Using a Windows PC with the WPS Pro EU The easiest way to transfer images from your computer to your WPS Pro EU network is using the HFP transfer option. Use the following sections to configure your PC computer to use WPS Pro EU.

    HFP transfers work best on Mac computers, however some tablets do have HFP transfer capability. Hot folder printing allows you to load larger quantities of prints at a time to the print folder. Note Transferring more than nine (9) images using the HFP method can result in a transfer error (Error 43.) Contact Tech Support for more information.

    A test image is automatically printed. It will also set up the appropriate folder (hot folder) from which images will be printed. As noted earlier, WPS Pro EU can be connected to two (2) printers simultaneously. Normal transfer time for prints is 25 seconds but varies based on signal strength, and connection speeds.

  • Page 62: Custom Borders

    The borders are automatically applied to any print of the specified print size when the images are printed via the WPS Pro EU system and you have enabled borders. You can design a border using any photo application software package that allows for the creation of layers within the file. A few examples are Photoshop, GIMP, and Corel Paintshop Pro.

    1. Connect to the WPS Pro EU Wi-Fi network. 2. Open a file explorer window. (Be sure you are not opening an internet browser.) 3. Type \\192.168.43.1 in the address bar. This accesses the WPS Pro EU directories. 4. Open the Borders directory.

    Changing the settings covered in this chapter can cause your WPS Pro EU device to not function in the manner in which you intended. Your WPS Pro EU device ships with recommended settings from the factory. Only make the changes covered in this chapter if you are trying to customize a setting for your specific needs.

    Use the general configuration settings to change your archive settings, default language, and initial test print settings. Configuring Image Archiving You can archive your images to a micro SD card once you have printed them. WPS Pro EU is set to archive your images by default. Note If you turn OFF the archiving functionality, your images are deleted from the WPS Pro EU device once they have been printed.
