GETTING STARTED Charge the Battery and Install a SIM Card glowPhone requires a SIM card and a charged battery for operation. You must install a SIM card (provided with your phone or obtained through your network service provider) and charge the battery before you can use glowPhone for the first time.

Install a SIM Card The SIM card contains the phone number for your glowPhone and provides access to network services. Do not touch the metal part of the SIM card. 1. Remove the battery cover. 2. Remove the battery (if installed).
Install the Battery 1. Hold the battery so that the words are facing down and the tab (1) is at the bottom of the compartment. 2. Lower the battery into place and press gently on the tab end until it clicks into place. 3.

SETTING UP glowPhone FOR THE FIRST TIME Before a call can be placed or received, you must program the Mom and Dad Call keys and create the Contact List. In order to do this, you must know how to type numbers and letters.
Setup the Call Keys There are two pre-programmed call keys. These keys are sometimes called Mom and Dad keys. Each key calls a single number. When the key is pressed, the name you program will appear on the screen. To program the call keys: 1.
Setup the Contact List The Contact List can hold up to 48 pre-programmed names and phone numbers. 1. Scroll to Parental Controls 2. Scroll to each number in your password (default is 0000) and press the Select button to open the Parental Controls menu. Select 3.
USING THE PHONE The Call Keys and the Contact List must be setup before you can use them to make a call. Make a Call Using the Call Keys If the device is not on, switch it on by pressing and holding the End key.
Make an Emergency Call If the device is not on, switch it on by pressing and holding the End key. Check for adequate signal strength. 2. Press and hold the phone. “Emergency Call” will appear in the display area. 3. Scroll left to highlight the “YES” prompt and press the center button.
Adjust the Volume • To adjust the ringtone volume 1. From the main screen, press one of the two volume buttons on the left side of the phone. The volume screen will appear. 2. Press the the up or down volume keys to adjust the volume of the ringtone.
When you turn on glowPhone, the New Voice Mail Messages prompt will display. If glowPhone is on and a call is not answered, the caller can also leave a voice message. The Voice Mail icon will appear at the top of the display area.
TEXT MESSAGES The glowPhone can receive text messages, but cannot send messages. If a message arrives when your phone is on, the message will display, and you can read the message or save it to read later (network service). Then, when another message arrives, a New Text Message prompt displays.

To delete a message: It is a good idea to go through your messages and delete the ones you no longer want to keep. 1. Scroll to the Read Text Message button. Select 2. Scroll to the message you want to delete and press the button.

Keypad auto lock inactivity time - enable or disable the keypad – autolock feature that prevents inadvertent calls. When the device or keypad is locked, calls may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device. Languages - select the language. –...

Initial Setup Time and date Although your phone may automatically pick up the time and date from the network (network service), use this procedure if you want to change the time and date manually. 1. Scroll to the Parental Control Menu 2.
Backlight timeout Select the inactivity time before the display area goes dark. The options are 15, 30, and 60 seconds. Keypad auto lock inactivity time The keypad can be locked automatically after intervals of 1, 2, or 5 minutes of inactivity. The autolock feature can also be disabled. When the device or keypad is locked, calls can still be placed to the official emergency number programmed into your device.
TERMS & CONDITIONS To use a Firefly handset as a cellular phone, you must obtain service from a wireless service provider. Your service provider may provide additional terms and conditions and instructions for using network services. Some networks may have limitations that affect how you can use wireless services.
The limited warranty extends only to the Consumer who purchases the Product in the country for its intended sale. Upon request from Firefly, You must prove the date of the original purchase of the Product by a dated bill of sale or dated itemized receipt.

SIM cards, or accessories returned with the Product. You may have to bear the cost of shipping the product to Firefly or to Firefly’s authorized return center. Purchased content is the responsibility of the user and will not be replaced by Firefly.

Returning a Product for warranty repair or replacement will not extend the original warranty period. Firefly’s limit of liability under the warranty shall be the actual cash value of the Product at the time the Consumer returns the Product for repair. The cash value shall be determined by the price paid by the Consumer for the Product less a reasonable amount for usage.
