Parking on an Incline
A rolling vehicle can result in serious injury. Avoid parking on an
incline. If parking on an incline is unavoidable, follow these
precautions:
1. Place the transmission in PARK.
2. Turn the engine off.
3. Slowly release the brake pedal and make sure the transmission is in
PARK before exiting the vehicle.
4. Engage the park brake (if equipped).
5. Block the rear wheels on the downhill side, or park the vehicle in a
sidehill position instead.
