    Introduction The ALIBI™ HD-TVI mini outdoor PTZ camera enables you to pan, tilt and zoom in on suspicious activity and capture high definition video of wide areas such as parking lots, shopping malls and sports facilities. It features a 1/3” CMOS image sensor, 23x optical zoom, 16x digital zoom and delivers 720p high definition video.
  • Page 8 SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION Scan Modes The dome provides 5 scanning modes: pan scanning, tilt scanning, frame scanning, random scanning and panorama scanning. The scanning speed can be set by OSD menu from level 1 to 40, with the corresponding speed ranging from 1°/second to 40°/second. Preset Freeze Frame This feature freezes the scene on the monitor when moving to a preset.

As light diminishes at night, it switches to night mode and delivers black and white images with high quality. You can also switch it to NIGHT mode manually to increase the sensitivity in low light conditions. Slow Shutter Slow shutter function extends the exposure time to accumulate more light when the light condition is low.

The cable interfaces of camera is shown below. Two video outputs are provided: one using HD-TVI technology that must connect to an HD-TVI compatible device, such as a Hybrid DVR, and a CVBS (NTSC) video output that can connect to any NTSC compatible device.

These blanks are used to cover sensitive areas on the live video to prevent that content from appearing in live view and recorded video. The blanks cover the same areas even when the camera pans or tilts, and they automatically adjust their size when the lens zoom changes.

    SECTION 4: CONFIGURING THE PTZ CAMERA 4.10 Step 7: Configuring Patterns A pattern is a memorized, repeatable series of panning, tilting, zooming and preset movements that can be recalled by a command or automatically performed by a configured function (alarm, park, time task, and power-up). You can configure up to 5 patterns. 4.10.1 Create a pattern Open the PATTERNS submenu from the OSD MAIN MENUS | DOME SETTINGS menu.

The camera will memorize the path you constructed as the pattern, and the amount of memory used to save the pattern will be indicated in by the REMAIN MEMORY (amount of memory remaining) statistic.

The programmable actions include: preset 1-8, pattern 1-4, patrol 1-4, pan scan, tilt scan, random scan, frame scan, panorama scan, day/night mode or none. 4.11.1 Create a Time Task Open the TIME TASK submenu from the OSD MAIN MENUS | DOME SETTINGS menu.

Options include WHOLE WEEK, SUNDAY, MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY and SATURDAY. Next, click the u button to move the cursor to the START Hours field, and then use the p and q buttons to choose the hour when the task will start.

    SECTION 4: CONFIGURING THE PTZ CAMERA If multiple alarms with different priorities are triggered at the same time, the dome only responds to the alarm with the highest priority. If multiple alarms with the same priority are triggered at the same time, then the dome will respond to each alarm according to the defined alarm sequence.

OSD menus appear over the video image from the camera. When the OSD opens (see “4.2 Opening the OSD menu” on page 21), the Main Menu appears.

    SECTION 5: OSD MENU REFERENCE 5.2 SYS INFO submenu System information menu displays the current system information of the camera including the camera address, communication parameters, and other parameters. In the SYS INFO displays, these parameters are not changeable, and it is similar to the system information shown when camera is powered on.

You can configure it as OPEN (normally open), CLOSE (normally closed) or OFF (disable the alarm input).

When more than one alarm of the same priority occurs at the same time, the camera will respond to one alarm first and then respond to the next one after the user-defined interval.
