If you are unfamiliar with some of the terms in this user’s guide, please consult the glossary located in this manual. You will find the SP-99 to be convenient, compact, portable and easy to connect with your mobile phone, iPod touch®, iPhone™, computer, mp3 player, or any other device with Bluetooth A2DP capabilities. -

SP-99 and inserting the plug into a suitable power outlet. • Switch the SP-99’s power button to the ON position on the back of the device. The green power indicator light will turn on and the Bluetooth pairing indicator light (blue) will blink indicating that the SP-99 is now in pairing mode. -

Making Phone callS when StreaMing MuSic If you receive a phone call while your mobile phone is connected to the SP-99, your phone will indicate an incoming caller as normal according to your ringer setting. Upon answering the call, the streaming audio will silence and you will hear the audio as normal through your mobile phone. -

StreaMing wireleSS audio froM a Bluetooth tranSMitter To stream music from a Bluetooth enabled transmitter, please make sure the SP-99 is paired properly by following the pairing instructions above and the blue indicator light is on and not flashing. Many Bluetooth transmitters support auto-pairing and do not require entering a password. -

Troubleshooting q. why can’t i hear sound from the SP-109? A. Check the volume level on both the SP-109 and your Bluetooth enabled music player. Also ensure that there are no ‘barriers’ between the SP-109 and your paired Bluetooth® device such as walls, people or furniture as this may prevent the speaker and device from pairing successfully. -

Safety Information Please read all safety information and operating instructions before using the SP-99 to avoid injury. Bluetooth coMMunication Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a range of about 10m (33 feet). Install the transceiver and any connected Bluetooth device as closely to each other as possible. -

Do not use the SP-99 in the rain, or near sinks, bathtubs or other wet locations. Take care not to spill any food or liquid on the SP-99. In case the SP-99 gets wet, unplug all cables, turn off the SP-99 before cleaning, and allow it to dry thoroughly before turning it on again. -

The louder the volume, the less time is required before your hearing could be affected. Hearing experts suggest that to protect your hearing: Limit the amount of time you use the SP-99 at high volume. Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings. -

When you are using the SP-99, it is normal for the device to get warm. The exterior of the SP-99 functions as a cooling surface that transfers heat from inside the unit to the cooler air outside. -
