    Sonically, the 540V adds DVD-Audio playback for the best possible musical performance in both multi channel surround and high quality stereo discs. Cambridge Audio has also worked hard to ensure that CD replay is excellent and up to the standards of the rest of the 540V.

    INSTALLATION Please take a moment to read these notes before installing your Azur DVD receiver, they will enable you to get the best performance and prolong the life of your unit. This unit must be installed on a sturdy, level surface. The unit requires ventilation.

    FRONT PANEL CONTROLS Power Skip Function Band – Tuning Power Switches the unit on and off. Function Switches between disc play,the internal FM tuner and the aux input. Band This changes between FM and MW reception. DVD S S kip/ T T uning -/ / + These buttons control both skipping through chapters on a DVD disc (or tracks on a CD) and tuning up and down on the two tuner bands.

    SOME NOTES ON LOUDSPEAKERS The 540V has five surround speaker terminals and connections for an active or a passive subwoofer. Your speaker manual will give more ideas about placement but the diagram above is an example of placement for a standard 5.1 system. Front l l eft a a nd r r ight l l oudspeakers - equidistant to the left and right of your screen far enough apart to ensure good stereo imaging.

    OSD L L ang: Alters the language that the menu will appear in. SCART: This switches the component video outputs between component and RGB. RGB can only be used with the dedicated Cambridge Audio RGB Trigger to Scart cable. Screensaver: If the DVD is left on and inactive, it will switch to a screensaver to minimise energy consumption and screen burn.

Centre W W idth - allows you to artificially increase the width of your front speakers by means of delay.     OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Loading a a nd u u nloading d d iscs 1. Press the Power button. 2. Press the Open/Close button. 3. When the disc tray has opened fully, place a disc carefully in the tray with the label side facing up. 4.
