    Horizontal Application This type of position is usually used in an attic or crawl space. The air handler may be laid on the left or right side for horizontal applications. The factory-installed coil is intended for left-side-down installation. This type of installation requires a return air duct to be attached to the air handler inlet.

    Downflow Application Relocating Coil CAUTION The coil MUST be relocated for downflow application. 1. Remove coil access door. 2. Slide coil out of air handler. 3. Remove coil rack from air handler by removing screws from side of air handler. 4.

    Connect Refrigerant Piping Use field supplied tubing of refrigerant grade. Suction tube must be insulated. Do not use damaged, dirty, or contaminated tubing because it may plug refrigerant flow control device. ALWAYS evacuate the coil and field supplied tubing before opening outdoor unit service valves.
