    Introduction Description The Thermostatic Power Shower is an all-in-one power shower with an integral mains voltage pump, with separate controls for flow and temperature. It features a 15mm dual entry push-fit manifold to enable the appliance to support various inlet supply configurations. The manifold includes inlet filters and check valves.

    Specifications General Shower unit duty cycle: 15 minutes on, 60 minutes off. Exceeding the units duty cycle The motor is fitted with a thermal cut out device, if temperatures become too high the device will cut the power to the motor but will self-reset once temperatures have normalised.

  • Page 8: Installation Requirements

    Installation Requirements Gravity Fed system - The shower MUST be fed from a cold water cistern and hot water cylinder providing nominally equal pressure. Installation General Do not install in a position where the unit can become frozen. The shower unit must be supplied from a cold storage tank and hot water cylinder with equal pressures.
  • Page 9 Ensure that HOT (H) and COLD (C) supplies are connected to the correct inlets. These are clearly marked. Failure to do so could be dangerous. The shower unit is for surface mounting only and must not be recessed into any wall or cavity, or tiled up to, as this will inhibit water drainage from rear of unit.
  • Page 10 Plumbing The plumbing installation must comply with the requirements of UK Water Regulations/Bylaws (Scotland), Building Regulations or any particular regulations and practices, specified by the local water company or water undertakers. The installation should be carried out by a plumber or contractor who is registered, or is a member of, an association such as: Institute of Plumbing (IOP), throughout the UK, Tel: 01708 472791.

  • Page 12 Using the push-fit release/ lock tool, place twin bladed side on the face of the connectors and push grey collars into manifold to release from supply pipes. Drill wall and insert wall plug. The wall plugs supplied may not be suitable for the type of wall being fixed to.
  • Page 13 11. Lock push-fit collars using the push-fit release/lock tool using the single end to lift the grey locking collars. 12. Insert 2 Blanking Plugs into unused inlets by pushing in firmly and lock using tool. 13. Before making any electrical connection turn on water supplies and check supply connections for leaks.
  • Page 14 17. Fit blanking plate(s) into unused inlet(s) of case. Warning! Blanks should be fitted to stop access to inside of unit. 18. Refit cover by locating onto ridge on top of cover and push the bottom of cover against rear case. Refit cover retaining screw.

    Commissioning Priming the Unit The unit must not be run dry. Before proceeding any further with the installation it is important to prime the pump assembly before switching on the electrical supply. Connect the flexible hose only to the shower outlet of the unit.
  • Page 16 Maximum Temperature Setting It may be necessary to adjust the maximum temperature for site conditions to ensure safe showering from the unit. Ensure hot water temperature is at least 10°C above the required temperature from the unit. To reset the maximum outlet temperature the sequence below should be followed:- Turn outer flow control anticlockwise to full on.
