All EarthLinked systems and kits must be installed and serviced by an authorized, trained technician who has successfully completed the training class and passed the final examination.
  • Page 3 Pre-Installation Upon receipt of the service valve kit, carefully check the model number against the bill of lading. Next, check the service valve kit and adapter kit model numbers against the compressor unit model and line set sizes to ensure a match. See Figure 1. SVC.

After ensuring the compressor unit and earth loop line set has no refrigerant or nitrogen holding charge, and after power has been turned “OFF” to the compressor unit and all other EarthLinked® and field supplied system components (at the appropriate breakers), remove the front and top panels of the compressor unit cabinet.

Cut the LIQUID line and repeat steps 3 and 4 except replace the service port cap on the LIQUID service valve. 6. Wrap a wet cloth around the VAPOR service valve nearest the joint to be brazed, as shown in Figure 5.

Before brazing a joint with 15% silver content brazing alloy, connect a regulated nitrogen supply (step 2) to the charging port inside the compressor unit and flow nitrogen through the earth loop system and out the VAPOR service port until the oxygen in the braze joint area has been replaced by nitrogen.
