Assembly Instructions:
1.
Attach the lower pole to the upper part of the umbrella (Fig.1). Turn the pole clockwise until the threads are
fully secure.
2.
Note: The oval slot on the pole connector should align with the nut inside the upper pole. If they do not align
after tightening, loosen the lower pole by a half turn until they are aligned. Insert the wing nut into the hole in
the pole. Turn the wing nut clockwise until secure. (Fig.2)
3.
Attach the finial to top of umbrella, turning it clockwise until secure. (Fig.3)
4.
Set the umbrella into the umbrella stand. To prevent the umbrella from spinning, align the metal plate on the
bottom of the pole with the tightening knob on the umbrella stand.
5.
To open the umbrella, pull the pulley rope until the hub mechanism is past the holes located at the top of the
umbrella pole. While holding the rope taut, insert the metal pin into the hole. (Fig.4)
6.
Assembly is complete. (Fig.5)
7.
To tilt, press the button and slowly tilt until you hear a click, then release the button. (Fig.6)
Care Instructions:
•
Brush to remove dirt and dust.
•
Canopy is removable: spot clean with water and mild soap; air dry.
Storage:
•
Store in a dry, covered area when not in use.
•
To prevent mildew, be sure the umbrella fabric is completely dry before storing. Store indoor when not in use
or during periods of inclement weather.
Wood:
•
Do not use oil. For maintaining the finish, wash using a mild soap or cleaner to remove accumulated dirt.
•
Cover during storage or when not in use, using a proper outdoor cover allowing adequate ventilation without
trapping moisture.
•
Do not cover with plastic or similar materials that will trap moisture. Pottery Barn umbrella covers are vented
and can be used.
