Do I need to oil my Rodeo Core if it is making a “creaking” noise? ( it’s a little bit used…)

The manual does not mention oiling the Daiwa CORE. For maintenance and cleaning instructions, refer to the "MAINTENANCE & CLEANING" section in the manual. If the unit is making a creaking noise, check for loose parts or contact customer support. Do not apply oil unless specified in the manual.

Rodeo ore makes scraping sound and seems locked up. Doesn’t move

The Daiwa CORE reel may be making a scraping sound and becoming locked up due to worn or damaged internal cogs or bearings. The grinding noise under pressure and static spool movement suggest possible issues with the drive gear or bearing play. Internal cogs, often made of inferior metal, are more likely to fail first. If not repaired or replaced, the reel may lock up under pressure or lay line poorly, leading to jams.
