Always plug into a grounded three-prong outlet.
Do not remove ground prong.
Do not use an adapter.
I Do not use an extension cord.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death,

Specific electrical requirements are listed in the chart below.
Followthe requirements forthe type of plug on the power
supply cord.

Recommended Grounding Method

This dehumidifier must be grounded. This
dehumidifieris equipped with a powersupply
cord with a three-prong grounding plug.The
cord must be plugged into a mating, grounded
three-prong outlet, grounded in accordance
with a|||oca| codes and ordinances. If a mating
outlet is not available, it is the customer's
responsibility to have a properly grounded
three-prong outletinstalled by a qualified
electrician.
It is the customer's responsibility:
w To contact a qualified electrical installer.
w To assure thatthe e|ectrica|insta||ation is
adequate and conforms to the Nation
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70-last edition,
and alllocal codes and ordinances.

w Do notlocate outdoors. This dehumidifieris intended forindoor,
residential use only. This dehumidifieris not recommended for
commercial use.
w Allow atleast 12"to 18" (30.5 cm to 45.7 cm) of space on the rear
and sides of the dehumidifierfor models with backlouverand
above the dehumidifierfor models with top louvers.
w You will need a surface strong enough to supportthe
dehumidifierwhen its bucket is full of water.
n You will need.a surface level enough to keep the water from
spilling when the bucketis full of water.
w Do not block the louvers of the unit.
w Never operate this dehumidifierin an area thatis likely to
accumulate standing water. If this condition develops, for your
safety disconnectthe power supply before stepping into the
water.
